Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes in the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was with a majority. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. The next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she came back in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win against Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
